2 pizza dough balls (500g) |
400 gram squeeze bottle of thick tomato paste (pizza style) |
1 tablespoon fresh basil leaves (finely chopped) |
1 teaspoon garlic powder |
1 cup grated mozzarella |
2 tablespoons parmesan |
extra-virgin olive oil spray |
extra thick pizza style tomato paste for dipping |
Pizza Bites Directions
Preheat oven to 200C
Press pizza dough balls together and blend them into one big ball
Lightly flour a bench top and roll the dough to about half a centimetre thickness try to roll in a rough oblong shape
Squeeze the thick tomato paste over the dough covering the entire surface, finely sprinkle with garlic, and chopped basil leaves
Top evenly with Mozzarella cheese
From the longest length side fold the dough over and roll tightly inward (ingredients on the inside of the roll)
When finished place the roll with the final end face down on the bench top, place on a plate
Cover with cling wrap and place in the fridge of 20-30 minutes
Take roll out place on the benchtop and cut the roll into 2-3 cms wide slices
Place on a lightly sprayed baking paper sheet
Bake for 15 minutes and flip over until both sides are golden brown
Cool for 3-4 minutes and serve with a salsa dip
