Pear and Muesli Muffins



200 grams wholemeal self-raising flour
150 grams Carman's Classic Fruit and Nut Muesli
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 thinly cut pears (skin on)
75 grams walnuts
1 cup milk
50 grams butter (melted)
1 egg

Pear and Muesli Muffins Directions

Preheat the oven to 180c

Mix together flour, muesli, sugar, pears and walnuts

Make a well in the centre. In the well add milk, egg and butter. Mix well

Divide mixture into lightly greased muffin tray

Sprinkle with muesli

Bake for 18-20 minutes

Recipe notes

You can substitute the 2 pears with 2 pieces or 2 cups of any of the following fruits, then 1/2 cup of the second ingredient:

- Pear and cashew, pear and sunflower seeds

- Banana and honey, banana and walnut, banana and chocolate, banana and date

- Blueberry and slivered almond or blueberry and white chocolate

- Apple and cinnamon, apple and walnut or apple and date

- Fig and walnut
