Holbrook and District Fundraisers arranged a very creative community fun day in support of a variety of health charities including Bowel Cancer Australia, ‘Don’t Drop The Ball On Health’.

The event focused around a helicopter ball drop of 600 numbered tennis balls on the local Sporting Complex football oval, including prizes for nearest the pin and other designated points on the footy field.

“We had an overwhelming day with more crowds than anticipated eating our canteen out of food. Almost all the refreshments disappeared, and all our auction items were generously bid upon,” said event organiser Jen.

“As part of our community day the Football Netball club water freeze slide was included in our afternoon activities and was a great success. With our brave local identity ‘sliders’ taking on the challenge,” Jen added.
