Be Well. Be Bowel Cancer Aware.

Bowel cancer is the second most commonly diagnosed cancer in women - claiming the lives of close to 1,900 wives, mothers, sisters, daughters, aunts, nieces and girlfriends in Australia every year.

It is projected that more than 20,000 women will die from bowel cancer over the next ten years.

That's why in September 2015 we launched a new awareness and fundraising campaign dedicated to Aussie women.

The second annual Be Well Week will be held on the 5-11 September 2016, encouraging women of all ages to support the vital work of Bowel Cancer Australia by hosting a Be Well Breakfast or Be Well Brunch fundraiser with female family members and friends.

In celebration of the Week we're asking the women of Australia to take the Be Well Challenge and make a promise they will keep – to be bowel cancer aware and prioritise their health and wellbeing.

Host a Be Well Breakfast or Be Well Brunch

Get together with your mothers, sisters, grandmothers, aunts, nieces, cousins and girlfriends during Be Well Week (or anytime during the month of September) and host a Be Well Breakfast or Be Well Brunch event to raise much needed funds and awareness for Bowel Cancer Australia.

We know that diet and physical activity have a role to play in reducing or increasing bowel cancer risk, so we encourage you to incorporate some physical activity and healthy food choices into your Be Well Week event.
For example: organise a group session of walking, yoga, pilates, swimming, running, Zumba or Tai Chi, prior to or after a healthy breakfast or brunch.

Looking for an excuse for a girlie getaway - why not extend your Be Well Week activities into a Be Well Weekend retreat!
