Michael W, Bull run to 100km In Memory Loved One All Be Bold Bowel Cancer Awareness Month Community Company Decembeard Dry July Early-Onset In Memory Loved One Never 2 Young World Cancer Day “Hi, my name is Michael. This Saturday, the 12th of April, I’ll be running 100km around the Bendigo Athletics track in honour of my Aunty Trish and my Pa. Last year, in March 2024, heaven gained an angel. I lost my aunty to stage 4 bowel cancer. This year, March 2025, I lost my Pa to stage 4 bowel cancer. My aunty and Pa were always big supporters of my running; whatever it was, they always asked and wanted to know how I went in the races. When I completed my full Nike marathon in October 2024, I came up with a goal to run 100km for my aunty to honour her and raise money for bowel cancer. I’m finally up the last week before the big 100km. I have done 26 weeks of training, 613km so far this year and it’s time. Only run the first 100km once. This one is for you, Aunty Trish and Pa.” ~ MichaelIf you’re based in Bendigo (VIC) or nearby, please do head over to the athletics track to show your support this Saturday.
