“I completed the Sydney Marathon with PBs across the board. It was my first marathon, and I managed to get a time of 3:47, which I’m pretty chuffed with. It was such a beautiful day; the volunteers and supporters really helped make it a special occasion.

So much encouragement from them and fellow runners; although I only had 3.5 hours of sleep the night before as I had a fever, I couldn’t not do it as my brother-in-law Adam is going through his fourth cycle of chemo and hasn’t complained or quit.

So, this kept me in check throughout the difficult morning; every time I wanted to quit, I had a look down at your logo and thought of him and my sister, and it gave me strength.

I will be competing at the Perth Marathon on 6/10 and hoping to raise $1,000 and crack the 3:30 mark. Followed by the ultra marathon on 26/10. Cheers.” ~ Jesse.
