“This run was for a very special man, my father-in-law. He was diagnosed with Stage 4 bowel cancer and although he fought with incredible strength and courage, we sadly lost him. His absence is felt every day, he didn’t get to witness our wedding or see his three beautiful grandchildren, but his love, kindness, and the memories he gave us continue to inspire our family.

To honour his memory, his first granddaughter and I ran the Bridge To Brisbane together. Every step we took was for him and for the many families whose lives have been touched by bowel cancer.

While raising funds to support bowel cancer research, improve treatments, and help provide support for those currently facing this disease. We hope that one day fewer families will have to experience the heartbreak that ours has.” ~ Farrah.
