“I walked 5km in the ASICS Noosa Runaway Marathon in honour of my late son Luke Johnson who lost his battle after 15 months of gruelling treatment and bowel/peritoneum surgery. He was just 33 years young. Luke wanted to raise as much awareness as possible about the increasing commonality of bowel cancer in young people. It is the deadliest cancer for 25 – 44-year-olds. Early detection is key.

You know your body best and if something doesn’t feel right, get it checked out by a medical professional – it could save your life.

My heartfelt thanks to all who made a donation towards my cause. I really appreciate your support. Let’s continue to raise awareness of bowel cancer in young people.” ~ Donna
