Daniel Y and the 2026 Cameron Hyde Cup

“South United Football Club in partnership with North Companions Football Club were proud to raise funds for Bowel Cancer Australia as part of our annual Cameron Hyde Cup Day. The day is held in memory of former player Cameron Hyde, who represented both clubs and sadly passed away from bowel cancer.

South United Football Club used the Cameron Hyde Cup as our charity day for the year 2026. We had all our junior teams playing in the morning before our Premier League Reserve and First Grade teams played in the afternoon. We held a BBQ down at the fields with all proceeds going towards Bowel Cancer Australia.

Following this, we held a function at our major sponsor, The Family Hotel. We had a large raffle with Yeti water bottles, Eskys and other prizes. On the night, we had several of our players auction off their hair to raise more money for Bowel Cancer Australia. By the completion of the event, we had raised $3103.00.” ~ Daniel
