Carly C, Cairns Marathon In Memory Loved One All Be Bold Bowel Cancer Awareness Month Community Company Decembeard Dry July Early-Onset In Memory Loved One Never 2 Young World Cancer Day “I have raised over $1000 this month, so I am pretty happy with that. Bowel cancer has well and truly affected my family, as my brother-in-law has Stage 4 bowel cancer and has just been taken off all treatment. He is only 50 years old and has a young family, which is very unfair! Anyhow. I’m by no means a runner, and I just ran my first ever race for a very good cause.” ~ Carly And from Carly’s sister Andi: “I just wanted to share this picture of my sister Carly and my hubby Dan. Carly has been a pillar of support for myself, Dan, and our three teenage kids as Dan has navigated his way through three years of chemo and immunotherapy and three major surgeries after a diagnosis of bowel cancer at age 46. Just recently, we received the devastating news that Dan had exhausted all treatment options and was referred to the palliative care team. Carly, having never been a runner, trained over 6 months to run 10 km in the Cairns marathon event and raised $1000 for Bowel Cancer Australia. So proud of her and of Dan.” ~ Carly’s sister Andi +++++ Head to our website to find out how you too can help make real change happen by raising much-needed funds for Bowel Cancer Australia.
