Gemma T, HBF Run For a Reason

“I recently walked the 12km distance in the HBF Run for a Reason in Perth. The weather was terrible on the day, wet, cold and at times windy but the atmosphere was fantastic.

My ‘reason’ was to raise funds for Bowel Cancer Australia. My grandfather passed away from bowel cancer when I was a kid and more recently my mum went through 18 months of surgery, chemo and radiation for Stage 4 bowel cancer. I am pleased to say she has been cancer-free for almost 12 months now.

By raising funds and completing a physical challenge like this, we can all make a difference.” ~ Gemma
