Karen and Teagan, Do it for Dad

“Our story started 4 years ago with my husband John being diagnosed with bowel cancer.

We lost him to this awful disease in January 2025.

This was my first HBF Run For a Reason event, my children and daughter-in-law convinced me to do it with them as they have done previous years.

My daughter Teagan created a fundraising page called ‘Do it for Dad’ and we raised over $3,000 for Bowel Cancer Australia with donations from friends and family.

I’m so proud of her as she did the half marathon and made this happen.” ~ Karen
