Mindy C, Newcastle Marathon & Half Marathon – For Mike Early-Onset In Memory Loved One All Be Bold Bowel Cancer Awareness Month Community Company Decembeard Dry July Early-Onset In Memory Loved One Never 2 Young World Cancer Day “In December 2024, our dear friend Mike, who was a big advocate for Bowel Cancer Australia, lost his battle to this awful disease. He sadly left behind his beautiful wife, Brodie and their baby girl, Lucy. Mike was passionate about helping others and hoping that he could spread awareness and hopefully help others from his situation. So, we decided to help him continue to do that in his honour. We did the Newcastle half marathon and Mike’s beautiful wife did it too, and she’s not normally a runner. To say we are so proud of her and know that Mike would be completely amazed and beside himself with pride for her, is an understatement. Warmest thanks for your support, Mindy. What a wonderful way to honour the memory of your dear friend, Mike, and raise awareness of early-onset bowel cancer. Your support is greatly appreciated and will have a direct impact, helping us to champion what matters most to people impacted by bowel cancer and empower everyone affected to live their best life.
