On 4 June, Dr Pafic (Peter) Fung & members of the Driftwood Art Society opened & hosted an art exhibition called ‘Celebrating Life & Healthy Living – In Support of Bowel Cancer Awareness’ at the Kaye West Studio in Camp Hill. The art exhibition runs from June 4-17, 2024.

“The Driftwood Art Society is a group of art lovers of all ages & from all walks of life, including nurses & doctors who work in Brisbane hospitals & clinics.

As healthcare professionals, we see the effects bowel cancer has on the lives of many of our patients & staff firsthand. That is why we decided to dedicate our art exhibition this year to bowel cancer awareness, as bowel cancer is curable when diagnosed early, & a healthy diet & lifestyle can also minimise the chance & even prevent bowel cancer.

Our work included portraits of bowel cancer survivors, contemplations on & the working out of healthy living, & paintings of healthy food. Many of these pieces are still available for purchase from our artists if anyone wants to visit our social media.

There are many more photos & videos of the event on our Instagram account.

Thanks.” ~ Dr Pafic (Peter) Fung & Carissa George.
