Josh and Anna, Champs’ Elwood Park Run

“We lost our dear friend and colleague, Marcus Champion, in February 2019 to bowel cancer.

Champs was an amazing PE teacher and personal trainer. He touched the lives of many and loved to encourage everyone to be their best. He created his own Elwood Parkrun that he would run on Saturday mornings (before training his PT groups).

To remember the incredible teacher, friend, colleague, father, son and husband that he was, we run his very own parkrun each year to raise awareness and funds for Bowel Cancer Australia. So far we have raised over $20,000.

The inaugural event was held back in 2019, just three months after he lost his battle. Since then, over 400 people have participated, and more than $40,000 has raised” ~ Josh & Anna.
