High fibre

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons cacao powder
  • 2 tablespoons coconut syrup
  • 1 teaspoon stevia powder
  • 2 tablespoons almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon crushed almonds
  • 1 tablespoon desiccated coconut
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla powder
  • 120 grams coconut butter
  • 150 grams cacao butter

Method

Place egg moulds in the freezer.

Place a heat resistant bowl in a pan with water 1/3 way up the bowl and heat gently.

Gently melt coconut butter and cacao butter in the heat resistant bowl until thoroughly mixed.

Stir in almond milk, coconut syrup, vanilla powder and cacao powder until blended.

Lastly add crushed almonds and desiccated coconut.

Take the moulds out of the freezer and spoon in the chocolate mixture into the moulds so they are nearly full.

Place them in the freezer to set 20 minutes.

When they are set push the egg halves out and store in the fridge.

Tip: if you are making these for children you could add natural coloured sprinkles in the base of the moulds.

Low fibre

Ingredients

  • You will need two trays of medium egg chocolate moulds (6 cms). Each tray holds 8 egg halves.

Method

Place egg moulds in the freezer.

Place a heat resistant bowl in a pan with water.

1/3 way up the bowl and heat gently .

Gently melt coconut butter and cacao butter in the heat resistant bowl until thoroughly mixed.

Stir in almond milk, coconut syrup, vanilla powder and cacao powder until blended.

Lastly add desiccated coconut.
