Sue organised a Red Apple Day fundraiser at her workplace with the aim of raising awareness about bowel cancer and as a survivor.

Here is what Sue said: “I was fundraising as I have received support from Bowel Cancer Australia, and I am a survivor of bowel cancer for 5 years. I was 38 when I was first diagnosed.

This year, my focus was more on raising awareness than raising a lot of funds, due to the cost of living being such a problem now.

I think it is important to be open about my own journey with bowel cancer in the hoped that this will help others.” ~ Sue.

Thank you so much, Sue, for sharing your reason for supporting Bowel Cancer Australia! We are very grateful for raising awareness and for your fundraising efforts. Thank you!

Your awareness and fundraising efforts are greatly appreciated and will have a direct impact, helping to save lives and improve the health and wellbeing of people living with bowel cancer.

If you were encouraged by Sue’s story and would like to support Bowel Cancer Australia through a social event or fundraiser, check out the Get Involved page on our website.
