“My name is Emily, and in April 2023, my Dad, Phil, was diagnosed with Stage 4 bowel cancer.

He has undergone 27 chemotherapy treatments, which have now sadly ended as the cancer has spread and treatment is no longer an option.

We have been fundraising for Bowel Cancer Australia to help bring awareness, testing, and further support to those individuals and families impacted by this awful disease.

This entire journey my family and I have been on has been heavily supported by my incredible workplace, Specsavers Nuriootpa.

As a team, we decided to run in the Barossa Marathon, with members completing the half-marathon or 10 km. With us as a team running over 80+ km together on the day. Lots of love and gratitude.” ~ Emily.
