“In 2018, my eldest daughter Emma received devastating news, completely out of the blue, that she has been diagnosed with Stage 4 colorectal cancer. Being Stage 4, the cancer had spread throughout her young body, affecting multiple organs.

With the care of a wonderful oncologist and surgeon, along with a dedicated and caring team, Emma survived after enduring chemotherapy, surgery, and yet more chemotherapy.

Given a bill of health in 2019 was the most wonderful news, albeit somewhat short-lived, with a return of the deadly cancer in 2022. Emma again endured life-altering surgery and has just recently been given the best news ever: she is in remission.

Our family knows the gift we have received with Emma’s future outlook and the massive amount of work her medical team put into her survival and recovery. Sadly, many others do not get that chance.

I have made it my life’s purpose in many ways to help raise awareness and much-needed funds for bowel cancer research to try in some way to alleviate the suffering that we have seen many go through.

I do this through my sport and punishing myself in endurance sports. What I go through in 8 hours is nothing compared to what others go through every single day.” ~ Tony.
