Holly’s story of her husband Nathan Early-Onset Loved One All Decembeard Dry July Early-Onset Early-Onset Loved One In Memory Kick Ass Late-Onset Lived experience Loved One My husband Nathan was diagnosed with Stage 3 bowel cancer in March this year. At the time I was 8 months pregnant with our 4th child. This was a huge shock to us, as Nathan is so young, fit and healthy. Cancer was never a thought in our minds.Life has been pretty chaotic for us this year with Nathan’s diagnosis and trying to plan a birth around Nathan’s treatments.Nathan is currently having intense chemotherapy and is on his 5th out of 6 rounds. After chemo he will be having 28 rounds of radiation followed by a big surgery and chemotherapy again. We have been trying to keep life as normal as possible during this devastating time especially for the kids.Nathan is the most amazing husband and father and there’s no doubt in our minds he will get through this. My one piece of advice: You are never too young for this type of cancer. If something seems off, you need to really advocate for yourself and get a colonoscopy done. Published: July 16, 2025
