Warmest thanks to Joanne and Runcorn High School Class of 2004 for fundraising in support of Bowel Cancer Australia at their school reunion.

Right from the beginning the event was not to be your ordinary high school reunion! "We were set to make a difference to bowel cancer sufferers and their families. Why, you might ask. A special member of our year level, Allan was diagnosed with bowel cancer back in 2006. After an 18 month battle with the cancer Allan sadly passed away just prior to his 21st birthday. Members of our year level travelled from far and wide to contribute. It was such a great opportunity to reconnect, all for a good cause".

Event Description: Father’s Day provides a lovely opportunity to celebrate all the wonderful Dads out there and also to remember the special Dads who are no longer with us. A gift to Bowel Cancer Australia this Father's Day, or to the man in your life, is a wonderful gift in celebration or in memory. It's a gift of hope for the future, a future where more families can stay together for longer and celebrate special days like Father's Day together.

Motivated by the 'No Makeup Selfie' movement, Katie decided she wanted to help make a difference to a cause that perhaps wasn't as widely publicised. She decided to donate her lovely locks to make real-hair wigs for cancer patients.

"After reading about the realities of bowel cancer and how it could be avoided with increased awareness and early detection, I knew it was something I wanted to support." Having a history of hereditary bowel cancer in her family and with her Auntie currently battling the disease, bowel cancer was also a cause close to Katie's heart.

Event Description: Bowel Cancer Australia relies entirely upon donations and the support of hard working and enthusiastic fundraisers across the country to continue our work. We would love your help and support in raising funds for our research, awareness, education and patient support programs. Organising a fundraising event for bowel cancer is easy and rewarding, limited only by your imagination.  It is also lots of fun. From morning teas; dinners; auctions; cocktail parties; trivia/karaoke nights; triathlons and fun runs; dress up/down days; wine tasting; cycles; treks and personal challenges . . . the options are endless!
