My mother was born in 1923 in France.

At 44 she was diagnosed with cervical cancer and had a radical hysterectomy, at 72 she had breast cancer, at 76 she had bowel cancer, and at 81 she was diagnosed with rectal and stomach cancer. She died two months after the diagnosis.

I was born in 1954 in Switzerland, moved to Australia in 1990. In 1998 I was diagnosed with a TCC in my bladder (bladder cancer) and another one six months later. In 2008 I was diagnosed with uterus cancer after a hysterectomy followed chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

In 2019, whilst in Switzerland helping my daughter (bowel cancer and three small children) I was diagnosed with breast and bowel cancer.

After surgery I had radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

At the time of my uterus cancer, I was called too young to have genetic testing, which I had after the two last cancers!

This picture is of my three children and I in 1990.

All three have been diagnosed with Lynch syndrome, Tania and Mindy have both shared their experiences with bowel cancer, Tommy has started getting regular testing.
