Winter Wellness

The colder temperatures can provide a great excuse to eat more and exercise less, but don’t let a change in season change your priorities when it comes to maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

If the winter months leave you feeling uninspired when it comes to cooking, check out our latest healthy recipes – high and low fibre – which are updated monthly and full of delicious ways to help you beat the winter blues, and for some great warm ups you can do even when it’s cold, check out Bowel Cancer Australia Advocate Hollie Fielder’s top tips.

To help you achieve your personal nutrition and lifestyle goals, check out the Bowel Cancer Australia Nutrition + Lifestyle Challenge. The step-by-step online program is loaded with fitness tips, real-time tracking and support, which could provide the motivation you need to get your healthy living goals back on track.

Staying connected with friends and family is another great way to keep you feeling warm (on the inside).

If you haven’t already joined our Peer-to-Peer Support Network you might want to consider getting in touch with a Bowel Care Nurse to discuss how you can be paired up with another Australian with a similar experience, either as a patient or a loved one.

You can also be social by connecting with Bowel Cancer Australia on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and helping us to raise awareness by sharing, re-posting and tweeting #BowelCancerAustralia.

And if combining friends, family and fundraising sounds like a fun way to brighten up a winter day, check out a list of activities happening across Australia and get involved.

Warmest winter wishes from the Team at Bowel Cancer Australia.
