Pushing his mind and body to the limit, personal trainer and Bowel Cancer Australia super supporter Peter has once again taken on the IRONMAN Asia-Pacific Championship. Continuing to proudly raise much needed awareness funds and awareness for the charity in memory of his Mum, who sadly passed away from bowel cancer in February 2006.

"I thought once was enough, but after all of the tremendous support I received, the awareness raised and the fundraising target that we achieved, I decided to do it all again. I managed to raise $12,000 this time around but I am very happy with it as people have mentioned how much harder it is the second time around. I also managed to beat last years' time (and last year was cut short due to the dangerous swim conditions) so I improved quite a lot. I've signed up to go again, so I will be hoping to get another outfit going in preparation, one that stands out in the crowd hopefully".

Thank you Peter for your continued support, our warmest congratulations on your inspirational achievements to date, and best wishes for your next big challenge.

"I was originally doing this as a way to show myself that I could still achieve certain things that I had been told I was no longer able to do. As I progressed through all of the hours of training

I found it harder and harder to get through, and realised the only reason I managed to finish the long training sessions was by thinking about my Mum, what she went through after being diagnosed with bowel cancer, and how she fought every inch of the way until she passed away.
