Why Rich Lister Carolyn Creswell turned up to the launch of a food truck

Carolyn Creswell is the founder of Carman's Fine Foods and was worth $57 million on the 2015 BRW Rich Women list and is also a former member of the BRW Young Rich.

She is known to the public through her appearance on Ten's Recipe to Riches last year.

The main charity for Carman's is Bowel Cancer Australia. Creswell says there is a nice link because the cereals and muesli bars provide dietary fibre and the brand can use messaging on the packaging to raise awareness of the disease.

Sadly, like too many of us, bowel cancer has affected the life of Carolyn Creswell, owner of Carman's and proud sponsor of Bowel Cancer Australia. Her beloved grandfather passed away from the disease – so she understands more than most the increased risk and the need to discuss family history with her loved ones.

Carolyn adores nothing more than her family get-togethers and sees Bowel Cancer Australia's annual Christmas in July initiative as the perfect opportunity to get together with those she loves and possibly give the greatest gift of all.... perhaps the knowledge that could save their life.

Carman's serves up support

Bowel cancer patients will continue to benefit from free and independent nutrition advice following a sponsorship agreement between Bowel Cancer Australia and gourmet muesli company, Carman's Fine Foods.

The agreement will help fund Bowel Cancer Australia's nutrition advisory service and a new Recipe for Recovery resource.

Julien Wiggins, Chief Executive Officer of Bowel Cancer Australia, gratefully welcomed the financial commitment which will secure the existence of this practical service.

"People who have just received a diagnosis, are undergoing treatment or recovering from bowel cancer often have questions about food," he added.
