As a proudly 100% community funded charity, this free service is only made possible thanks to the kind support of individuals, groups and companies. Who’s generosity ensures our team is there to help bowel cancer patients and their families when they need it most and enables us to empower them with the tools and resources they need to support each other during a difficult and challenging time.
People living with bowel cancer like Angel, diagnosed with stage III bowel cancer at the age of 37, and her family.
“I love being able to pick up the phone to call the Bowel Care Nurses and knowing that they’ll be there to listen to you, support you and find you the help that you need. It’s reassuring to know you’re not alone
Our little (Peer-to-Peer Support Network) group is by far the best thing out of this whole ordeal - I simply feel like the luckiest person to have the support of these girls and it makes me feel good that the new girls can ask us questions and ask for advice and just have a whinge. It’s also good having Sarah, Jodie and Mallory who have finished treatment and are living proof there is life after chemo and that it does get better.”
Please consider contributing this Christmas to Bowel Cancer Australia's Appeal to help the thousands of Australians like Angel and her family affected by our country’s second deadliest cancer.
With more and more Australians being affected by bowel cancer, directly or through a loved one, the need for resources and funding is growing.
Your tax-deductible gift this Christmas will help ensures our team is always there to help bowel cancer patients and their families when they need it most and enable us to empower them with the tools and resources they need to support each other during a difficult and challenging time.
