Artisan Easter Eggs

Yes, you can make Easter eggs that are yummy and good for you, cashew butter contains essential fatty acids Omega 6 and 3, Cacao powder is a powerhouse of antioxidants, enjoy these eggs without guilt

2 teaspoons cacao powder
2 tablespoons coconut syrup
1 teaspoon stevia powder
2 tablespoons almond milk
1 tablespoon crushed almonds
1 tablespoon desiccated coconut
1 teaspoon vanilla powder
120 grams coconut butter
150 grams cacao butter
You will need two trays of medium egg chocolate moulds 6 cms, each tray holds 8 egg halves

Artisan Easter Eggs Directions

Place egg moulds in the freezer  

Place a heat resistant bowl in a pan with water 1/3 way up the bowl and heat gently  

Gently melt coconut butter and cacao butter in the heat resistant bowl until thoroughly mixed  

Stir in almond milk, coconut syrup, vanilla powder and cacao powder until blended  

Lastly add crushed almonds and desiccated coconut  

Take the moulds out of the freezer and spoon in the chocolate mixture into the moulds so they are nearly full  

Place them in the freezer to set 20 minutes  

When they are set push the egg halves out and store in the fridge  

Recipe notes

Tip: if you are making these for children you could add natural coloured sprinkles in the base of the moulds
