“The team have been an integral part of my journey and have had such a positive impact on my treatment pathway “
Bowel Cancer Australia is grateful to the many generous people who have donated or raised funds for our charity throughout 2018, sharing in the charity’s vision to have an everlasting impact on our health future - one where no Australian dies from bowel cancer and all those diagnosed receive the support they need.
“They have helped me in so many ways – from helping me spread awareness through their #Never2Young program to introducing me to a bunch of awesome people through their Peer-to-Peer Support Network”
Bowel Cancer Australia is your community-funded charity, helping thousands of Australians diagnosed with bowel cancer each year to stay together for longer and celebrate special occasions like Christmas, together.
“As much as our family and friends offered support, no one truly understood what we were going through having not been through it.”
Over 15,000 Australians will have received a bowel cancer diagnosis this year and almost 4000 will have died from the disease.
Bowel Cancer Australia provide practical and emotional support for the growing number of Australians affected by bowel cancer, building communities through shared experiences and creating a powerful voice for change.
“They have been the silver lining to the cloud that is cancer, always happy help in whatever way they can - sometimes even in ways I yet haven't realised I needed!”
Described as a lifeline, Bowel Cancer Australia’s team of Bowel Care Nurses and Nutritionist add an extra layer of support to the trusted relationship patients have with their treating medical team at a very difficult time.
