Bowel and lung cancer survivor Cath held a fundraiser at the Library Service in the Brisbane City Council, bravely putting her locks on the line to raise much needed awareness and funds for bowel cancer.

"On Wednesday 18th June I held a Morning Tea at Library Headquarters. I asked for the team to vote that I cut and colour or shave my hair which was a gold coin donation to vote. I had my hair razed to a half inch long (from shoulder length) and fudged HOT PINK!!! But we did have some fun!! I am a bowel cancer and lung cancer survivor, currently under -going Avastin every fortnight and CT/PET scans every three months so this is very close to my heart".

Thank you Cath for all your support, you are a real inspiration!

Melbourne-based jewellery brand Edenborough Evans is proudly supporting Bowel Cancer Awareness Month this June, donating 40 per cent of proceeds from the sales of its new bangle bar collection during the month.

Edenborough Evans has a close connection to Bowel Cancer Australia as founders Anna and Kate Cowen lost their mother, Jane Edenborough, from bowel cancer seven years ago.

Co-founder and Design Director, Anna Cowen, said Bowel Cancer Awareness Month is a cause very close to both our hearts so we're really happy to be involved.

Jules Ferguson and her team at the Fleurieu Cancer Network helped to raise awareness in their local community by hosting an educational stand at their local shopping centre during Bowel Cancer Awareness Month.

"We handed out over 50 show bags which contained important cancer awareness information & some FREE giveaways. People heard firsthand how easy it is to do a bowel cancer screening test and how they can help prevent bowel cancer for themselves and for the ones they love".

Thank you Jules for supporting Bowel Cancer Awareness Month. We appreciate your support!

Every March, Meat Free Week encourages you to think about how much meat you eat and the impact eating too much has on your health, the environment and animals.  At the same time, you'll also raise funds and awareness for some very worthwhile charities – including Bowel Cancer Australia.

Bowel Cancer Australia's Community Engagement Manager Claire Annear said that the charity was excited to be involved as the Health Partner for Meat Free Week: "Following on from the wonderful success of last year's campaign it is lovely to see Meat Free Week expand its supported causes to include health concerns, and Bowel Cancer Australia was thrilled to be selected as the Meat Free Week health charity"

Katrina, Amelia and Tamika hosted a casual clothes day with a difference at their workplace - opting to wear eye catching onesies in an effort to raise bowel cancer awareness among their colleagues at Comvita Australia.

The trio sold cupcakes and shared their own experiences of family and friends affected by bowel cancer, inspiring their colleagues to be more bowel cancer aware and help make a difference.

The 'Onesie Day' was dedicated to Katrina's Uncle Matt who sadly passed away from bowel cancer in2009, and collected more than $200 in donations for Bowel Cancer Australia.

Great costumes ladies! Thank you for raising awareness and funds for a worthy cause close to your hearts.
