Bowel Cancer Australia has received a loan of a Holden Commodore as part of Commodore Missions, a program designed to thank the wider community for making Commodore Australia's best-selling car for 15 years.

The Bowel Cancer Australia Commodore will be used to spread awareness of bowel cancer and prevention by transporting the Super Colon – an educational exhibition which is 6.7metres long and 2.2 metres high.

15 cars in total will be loaned across Australia to the 15 successful charities.

The Super Colon goes to jail

Our very popular Super Colon has been busy touring lately. It's made appearances at several community events such as fun runs, Retirement and Lifestyle Expos and now it's off to jail!

Staff at Sydney's Silverwater Correctional Complex will have the opportunity to step inside our giant (6.7m long x 2.3m high) inflatable replica of a human colon at their Men's Health Day.

The initiative has come from one of the staff, Peter Murray, who is currently fighting his own battle against bowel cancer.

Edenborough Evans

Jewellery to honour the one's you love

Melbourne-based jewellery brand Edenborough Evans has teamed up with Bowel Cancer Australia to donate a huge 50 per cent from the sales of its personalised jewellery collection to the charity for the month of November.

Bowel Cancer Australia has a personal connection to the brand as its founders - Anna and Kate Cowen - lost their mother, Jane Edenborough, to bowel cancer seven years ago.

Co-founder and Design Director, Anna Cowen, said Bowel Cancer Australia is very close to both our hearts so we're really happy to be involved.

Charity Day

Bowel Cancer Australia Ambassador, Lara Bingle, took to the phones for the international brokerage firm ICAP's 17th annual global Charity Day.

Funds raised have been used to provide the charity's essential patient support services.

Julien Wiggins, chief executive, Bowel Cancer Australia said it was wonderful to have the support of ICAP for Bowel Cancer Australia's support programs.

The Sea Eagles Foundation Community Programs are a means for Sea Eagles players, coaches, staff and their families to support programs that foster cultural diversity, education, family and health.
