“In 2015 we ran a few different fundraisers and we were extremely humbled by the response and support received locally and Australia wide. Our events included ‘Awareness Stalls’ at our local autumn and spring markets selling apple pins and home-made goodies including daffodil colour pots and Early Morning Street raffles at the local post office. Our major fundraiser in 2015 was Empowered Cards. We created kindness cards in packs of 4 with personal home-made touches. The cards were inspired by Emma’s creativity and kindness. Our intention was to make people smile. We were thrilled with the success of Empowered cards, and the awareness they have created for the cause. We are so proud of our final tally for 2015 is $4100,” said Emma’s sister, Alanah. Congratulations to the Bum Buddies on doing such an amazing job and warmest thanks for continuing to raise awareness and get the word out there that bowel cancer isn’t just an old person’s disease, it can affect anyone.
