Fundraising

The Institute relies entirely upon donations and the support of fundraisers across Australia.  Please help us to raise funds for our research and awareness programs.

Organising a fundraising event is easy and rewarding, limited only by your imagination.  From morning teas; dinners; auctions; cocktail parties; trivia/karaoke nights, triathlons and competitions; dress up/down days; wine tasting; fun runs; treks and challenges . . . the options are endless!

Drop us an email or give us a call on 02 9926 5014 with your ideas.

Time to ice cancer

As featured in the Westside News.

IT’S Crunch Time at Iceworks Restaurant in Paddington next Thursday night, as they sponsor a cocktail evening in support of Bowel Cancer Australia.

Organiser Bonnie D’Arcy said she was inspired to create the event after a close family member was diagnosed with the disease this year.

“Thankfully it appears the diagnosis was made fairly early and they’re now recovering well after receiving chemotherapy,” she said.

“The purpose of our event is to raise some much needed funds to help fight this disease, and to let people know how important it is to have regular checks by your doctor. Bowel cancer can strike any age, and early detection can be vital towards beating it.”

The evening will include music from duo Bitter and Twisted, and auction items including an original painting by local artist Sharon Fuller.

Fruit the theme on the green

The KGC Ladies Charity Golf Day promises to be a fantastic day with wonderful raffle prizes, a trivia quiz, and quite a few surprises to keep you entertained throughout the day.

Don’t forget that fruit is the theme and red and green are the colours to wear. We have a prize for best-dressed team, (there are rumours of some pretty amazing outfits being created), and remember to bring along some gold coins for finding that bit of extra distance and accuracy in your game!

Your generosity is very much appreciated and, as you know, all goes towards a very worthy charity, Bowel Cancer Australia.
